In my experience, women really want their friends to like their partner, men want their friends to think their partner is attractive.

I follow Alicia McCarvell on insta - that is maybe my only example of where she is ‘punching’ and honestly the sh*t she gets for it too! Unreal. Even a Google search will show suggestions like is she really married to Scott! Gah!

Can’t change your mind on this one. I know a couple of couples where perhaps he is more conventionally attractive but they are very few and far between, very different to my female friends who the vast majority of which are dating /or married to someone less conventionally good looking than them. I hope men slowly move to valuing personality over conventional attractiveness, as the longevity in the relationship for me really is dependent on being with your bestie and someone you can still stand on their worst day, when everything else fades.
