Thanks so much for highlighting this and also for your recommendation 🙏! Where are all the super cool, plus size brands for swimwear that we’re around for the last couple of years? Sadly, I think they’ve gone the way of the rest of the market, which is to minimise their plus size offer, or get rid of it completely 😞
This post has reminded me that there will be a day when my trusty £16 ASOS costume that has served me well for the past three years will eventually be done for. I am DREADING that day.
Also, "if you don’t want to swim in the equivalent of an ‘80s prom dress" made me laugh out loud.
Such a real post. I hope this market realises sooner rather than later its gap... If anyone wants to fill that gap, please, get there fast.
Otherwise I take from the lack of market that the industry don't want the plus size women, the ones who'd line their metaphorical money pockets... Are we not wanted in society.
I also just want to raise the thought of swimwear suitable for wheelchair users - as always sitting down, a distraction from our middle would be wonderful, and no straps that slide down shoulders - I need my hands and arms to wheel, I don't have time to be hoiking straps up every few minutes. 🤔🕵🏻♀️🤩
Also had this same issues for holiday earlier in the year 😞 ended up sticking to my maternity H&M although I was no longer pregnant! I have got my eye on Snag tights swimwear offering for my next holiday though - probably the most generously cut for all sizes I've seen.
